Welcome to the 18th European Student Convention

The 18th European Student Convention (ESC) is co-organised by European Students’ Union (ESU) and The Swedish National Union of Students (SFS). The convention is held at Södertörn University, Huddinge, Sweden from October 16th to 18th 2009.

Social Dimension – The Lost Dimension?

This year’s convention will concentrate around the theme “Social Dimension – The Lost Dimension?” The Social Dimension has been one of the most neglected areas of the Bologna Process in the last ten years, despite strong cases for inserting it on the high priority agendas of all national authorities within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The convention will look into the current status of the social dimension at the national and European level. Further attention will be given to special student support services and strategies for widening participation.

The 18th ESC – a Green Convention

SFS is happy to announce that their work with Green Events will be extended to the European Student Convention. There will be measures taken, such as recycling, decreased paper usage etc. ESU and SFS hopes that the participants will help with the efforts to reduce the ecological footprint!
